DeWayne currently serves as Senior Minister at Elk Park Christian Church. His wife Charlotte serves in music ministry alongside him. DeWayne was Senior Pastor and Evangelist in numerous other ministries and churches in Roan Mountain, TN and across the U.S. For over thirty years, prior to his service at Elk Park Christian Church, God has used Preacher DeWayne in various music and youth ministries of several mega ministries and camp ministries; serving under Dr. Jerry Falwell, Sr., Dr. Charles Stanley and Dr. Duane VanderKlok as well as others in the Virginia Beach area.
Although DeWayne professes that it has been his tremendous honor and blessing to serve as minister, pastor and evangelist in several ministries throughout the region, a highlight in ministry came in April 2016 – the summer 2017, where he and his family hosted an explosive youth revival and Bible study in their home in East Tennessee. Hundreds of young people’s lives were changed through the transformative power of Jesus Christ. Many professed Christ as their Savior, were baptized and some even announced their call to ministry. While many others recommitted their lives to Christ, it was an incredible honor to serve in this capacity. Hundreds of lives in this small community of Roan Mountain, TN are forever changed by the love and forgiveness of Christ Jesus.
Through DeWayne’s friendship with Jonathan Sheppard, he and his wife, Charlotte, and their daughter, Hope, came to visit Elk Park Christian Church in December 2018. There was such a sweetness felt with the fellowship in their heart that they soon realized this to be their new church home. Although DeWayne has preached at EPCC from late winter 2019 through the springtime, DeWayne was officially elected in July 2019 as Senior Minister and is tremendously excited about the future God has for EPCC, the community of Elk Park and his family.
Minister DeWayne served in the United States Army as a trumpet player, performing in many high profile military events. He has received degrees from Liberty University, to include a seminary degree with an emphasis on local missions and evangelism.
